FACILITIES AND CURRICULAR UPGRADES

Over the last decade at SVSU, I have been heavilty involved in projects to update or facilities and our curriculum. The picture to the right are just a sampling of the initiatives from that time period.

Recently added Korg GEC5 Piano Keyboard Lab
Added storage for music education equipment in the classroom
$250,000 renovation of the Band Rehearsal Hall
Funded through the Dow Professor Award, 4 workstations of Push/Ableton were added
Started Valley Steel in 2013 from a $30,000 donation
Remodel and equipping of two small ensemble spaces
Name small ensemble space in honor of Mary Anderson, who helped endow a chamber music scholarship

Below are several student projects that are a result of curricular changes in the MUS 306 Intro to Music Technology course. These projects utilize concepts in context using Abelton Suite and Push Pads.
